THE HOST - A SHORT FILM
RD Music & Media recently collaborated with actor Antony Tyler to explore what was possible with a shoestring budget and a two-person team, experimenting with cinematic storytelling, resourcefulness and problem-solving at every stage.
From technical constraints that shaped the narrative to lessons about the true value of collaboration and specialist roles, the project reinforced one clear insight: great stories aren't defined by scale, but by creativity and execution.
THE ROYAL NAVY
In November 2025, I had the privilege of witnessing and filming a historic homecoming as elements of the UK Carrier Strike Group returned to Portsmouth Harbour following an extended deployment. The arrival of HMS Prince of Wales, alongside HMS Dauntless and Norway's HNoMS Roald Amundsen, marked a powerful and emotive moment — a striking display of allied maritime capability and a poignant return for the crews and their families. Capturing the scale, atmosphere and significance of the occasion was both a professional honour and a personal privilege.
KING OF THE CABLE
King of the Cable brings together wakeboarders of all ages and abilities to compete for the crown. RD Music & Media were on-site to capture the energy, atmosphere, and standout moments of the event — producing dynamic highlight films and social media content that reflected the excitement and spirit of the day.
SPICE ISLAND CHILLI
A vibrant series of product films created for a social media campaign celebrating the Spice Island Chilli Sauce range — a brand deeply rooted in the history and heritage of Portsmouth and Southsea.
PARKRUN
A heartfelt series created for Parkrun to inspire and increase volunteer participation. Through authentic storytelling and uplifting visuals, the campaign celebrates the community spirit at the heart of every event—encouraging more people to get involved and make a difference.
GRATITUDE AT ALTITUDE
An original documentary series following two friends as they take on the challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. Capturing both the physical endurance and the emotional depth of their journey, RD Music & Media documented their experience of adventure, resilience, and self-discovery — transforming an extraordinary ascent into a powerful human story.
BASS LEGENDS
An original biopic series celebrating the untold stories of the musicians whose talent shaped generations. RD Music & Media shines a light on the creative journeys, struggles, and triumphs of the artists behind era-defining songs and performances — capturing the spirit, sound, and soul of the music that continues to inspire today.
WE ARE HUMMINGBIRD
A pair of films produced for World Mental Health Day 2025 on Southsea Beach. Celebrating community, conversation and connection, the pieces highlight the importance of shared experiences and collective support in promoting wellbeing.
SOUTHSEA TRAVEL CO.
A vibrant series of product videos capturing the neon energy and playful nostalgia of an '80s-themed bar. Blending cinematic style with retro flair, the campaign brought the venue's cocktails and character to life across social media.
